BOARD CARE  

Our Board Oil and Board Cream are both 100% “Food Safe” products produced to assist you in maintaining and preserving your kitchen wood tools.  From wood counters, to butcher blocks, salad bowls to charcuterie boards it is very important to keep your wood products fully hydrated. When wood is not well hydrated the cells within dry, substantially damaging the structure  within, resulting in warped and cracked wood.

Properly maintaining your woods will reward you with beautiful boards, bowls and utensils for a lifetime .

Our Board Oil is made of 100% pure USP food grade white mineral oil. It is completely odorless, tasteless and colorless.

Our Board Cream is made from a combination of our Board Oil and beeswax. Both are pure food grade products.  

BOARD OILS

The importance of using Board Oil is touted throughout the wood industry as the most acceptable way of hydrating your wood. Starving wood of hydration is crippling. Much like starving a garden of water. The wood dries from within and before you know it that expensive counter or butcher block is cracking and warping. 

Food grade oil is critical as is the importance of avoiding plant based oils such as olive oil, etc. Leave an avocado on the drain board for a period of time and soon it rots. The same occurs within your wood with all vegetable oils. Maintain your boards with our Board Oil and your boards will be happpily neutral in their hydration.

Give your wood a good one or two coat rub down with our Board Oil each month and you will see how  beautifully your woods respond.

BOARD CREAM

"Board Cream" serves as a coating which will help to seal the pours of your wood. This "sealing" affect will coat the outer area of your wood capturing the hydration of the cells within.

The use of our Board Cream on your wood counter-tops, butcher blocks, utensils, salad bowls and charcuterie and carving boards will not only leave your wood products looking beautiful, but it will also lead to a long healthy life for the wood as well.  

We recommend you coat your boards every three months with two applications of our Board Oil. Apply the oil three to twenty four hours apart allowing the oil to settle into the deeper cells of your wood. After the two coats apply our Board Cream. This will help seal the wood. Buff the wood with a rag and enjoy the beauty of your well maintained. wood. 

We use a combination of our Board Oil and beeswax. Both are 100% food safe and available in four and eight ounce jars.
